Our Foundations & Roots
Shailja Education & Welfare Trust was not born in a boardroom or through a large fundraising campaign. It began in the heart of Pain, a small village in Bihar, where the realities of poverty, limited educational opportunities, and seasonal hardships were not statistics they were everyday life witnessed firsthand.
What started as a humble effort to support those around us soon evolved into a larger mission. A blanket offered on a cold winter night, a set of stationery placed into the hands of a young student, a sapling planted for a greener future each initiative revealed the same truth: meaningful change begins when communities choose to act rather than look away.
Over the years, that local commitment has grown into a structured movement dedicated to education, welfare, environmental responsibility, and social empowerment. From villages and towns across Bihar to expanding initiatives in Uttar Pradesh, the Trust continues to work at the grassroots level, reaching individuals and families who are often overlooked yet full of potential.
Today, Shailja Education & Welfare Trust stands on the belief that lasting impact is created not through grand promises, but through consistent action one student supported, one family assisted, one community strengthened at a time. Our journey may have started in a small village, but our vision extends far beyond geographical boundaries: to build a society where opportunity, dignity, and hope are accessible to all.
Our Mission
To alleviate immediate human suffering during harsh climatic conditions, build capacity in children through basic learning materials, and partner with volunteers and institutions to achieve carbon sequestration through massive green plantation operations.
Our Vision
To realize an inclusive society where extreme winter is no longer a life threat, local children in government schools have robust, premium learning kits, and community-driven social action creates carbon-neutral, clean, and self-sufficient neighborhoods.
